This series of work was exhibited at the long defunct gallery Downtown Art Space in Adelaide, Australia. Burning books! Goodness! This body of work was a reaction to the need for artists to fill art works with metaphors for French theory, philosophy, etc. Any reason but art making. On the surface it looks provocative – but it is a basic call for art to pull away from academia and the need for justifications and artist statements. The greater Dali book is thought to give one fantastic dreams of grandeur and success.
